How to Prepare for ANAB ISO/IEC 17029 Validation and Verification Accreditation
If your organization is interested in becoming a conformity assessment body, specifically to offer validations or verifications, we offer some steps in the process of preparing to apply for ANAB accreditation.
The first step in becoming an ANAB-accredited certification body for Validation/Verification is to understand and become familiar with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17029, ISO 14065, other requirement documents for specific programs (e.g., ISO 14064-3), ANAB requirement documents (e.g., Accreditation Rules), and other ANAB documents.
Once your organization understands the accreditation requirements and has developed your system; you will want to review your current validation and verification system including your internal management system and perform a gap analysis to identify conformance to ISO/IEC 17029, ISO/IEC 14065, any applicable program requirements, and ANAB requirements.
